While I was struggling with Hootie Pie, my phalaenopsis orchids were doing well, so I thought I’d try purchasing orchids on line. This led me to OrchidClassics.com where I purchased 2 new phalaenopsis orchids. A Phalaenopsis Lianher Seallops and a Phalaenopsis Lianher Cranberry Cha-Cha. I was so excited when they arrived, and even more so when I found a third orchid in the package, a Phalaenopsis Fuller’s Gold Strip. Unfortunately, her spike was broken and her four blossoms were loose in the box. The good news was that there was enough of the spike left on the blossoms to put them in water in a shot glass, and the break was just above a secondary spike that had a bud on it. There would be more flowers!

As for their names… Poche and Chandebise were named based on characters in the show I was working on at the time, A Flea In Her Ear. I received these three phals. while working on The Ashes of Aquitaine, so I chose Eleanor, Petra and Kat.
Not long after the royal arrival I purchased another phal. from HEB, a Phalaenopsis No ID (Fuller’s Gold Stripe) that I named Alais.
